Coastal WIldlife Wander
On this popular half day walk, we take a relaxed stroll along Arran’s rugged coastline looking for iconic species such as otters, seals and gannets. Learn all about these amazing animals, where they live, and watch them fishing and relaxing in their natural habitat. We always see a diverse range of wildlife on these walks, and have a good track record with “wow” species such as otters, plus you also have a good chance of seeing other special wildlife such as basking sharks, porpoise, red-throated divers and black guillemots.
Optics: this walk includes use of a spotting scope which is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each walk. Due to social distancing requirements, you will be taught to use the scope by your guide and asked to carry it on the walk, allowing you to search for and enjoy the wildlife on your own terms. Because this equipment is for group use (the guide has their own), we are only able to offer this walk to a single household at a time. We strongly recommend that you bring your own binoculars, although we do have a few pairs to borrow- also cleaned between uses.

Wildlife of the Glens
Explore one of Arran's spectacular glens, carved by long extinct glaciers. Discover the special geology, flora and fauna of these dramatic and wild places. Whether we head to Glen Rosa, Glen Catacol or Glen Sannox, here we will be looking for birds of prey and red deer, but we are likely to see plenty of other wildlife including wheatears, stone chats and a variety of reptiles. No exploration of the glen is complete without appreciating the beautiful wild plants, from heathers to bog asphodel, and their traditional uses in Scottish folklore.
Optics: We strongly recommend that you bring your own binoculars, although we do have a few pairs to borrow- that re cleaned and disinfected between walks.

Arran’s wildlife is simply magnificent and we work really hard to help you enjoy it. Visits to wildlife watching locations are tailored to individual requirements and aspirations, making a very rewarding half day out.
To book, simply enquire through the contact page and we will put together an itinerary that is perfect for you and your group. There is a 40% deposit payable on booking. There is a calendar of availability at the bottom of this page.
Accessibility: Our guided walks take place on a variety of terrain, but with planning, we can accommodate people with a wide range of mobility needs. Please get in touch to discuss this with us. However, you must be responsible for your own mobility- social distancing measures mean that we are only able to offer physical assistance in emergencies. Whilst this makes us very sad, (we can’t offer helping hand across a stream for example) we hope that in future we can alter this policy back to something much more friendly when it is safe to do so. Please note, that with changes to our operating procedures due to Covid-19, we are not currently offering vehicle based tours.
